In Greek myths, Satyrs were one of a troop of male companions of Pan and Dionysus with goat-like features. Similar in Roman myths, there is the faun being half-man, half-goat. Satyrs were known for their love of music and dance, they were associated with roaming the woods and mountains playing their pipes. They were also known for being poets. Female satyrs were known as, "Satyresses". Satyrs were carefree in life, and held a great love for wine. They also held a great love for tempting nymphs.
