2. Honesty. I like to think of myself as an honest person so seeing that it was my 2nd signature strength makes me happy. I like people to trust me so I am openly honest with any friend. However, honest doesn't compromise being trustworthy. I will keep a friends secret before I am honest with someone about it. I don't stab people in the back and I never plan to. I plan to continue being honest down the road for it makes me feel like a better person.
3. Perseverance It was so hard to pick a picture of this for me because they all spoke to me. Perseverance has always been important in my life because I've always had people telling me I can't do stuff. Someone in my own family told me I wouldn't be able to go to Full Sail, and look at me now. Life may be a struggle, but through shear perseverance you can overcome any obstacle. This attitude can benefit my well-being more than anything else.
Talking to my family gives me enough drive to get through the next week without missing them to much. The give me positive emotions I need to get through the week. Although we only get the engagement once a week my mom knows the meaning behind why I Skype them every week. I miss her and the rest of the family, but they know why I'm here and are proud of me. That is its own achievement. PERMA!
This is my family. From right to left is my brother Connor, my mother, Stacy, my stepfather Gil, and one of my sisters Caitlin. Also 2 of my 3 dogs Rajah and Walter White. I Skype them every Sunday and it makes me feel better to know they are safe and doing fine. Catching up with the family allows me to relax like I'm not a student and I can just sit back and talk to them.
Laytin sent me this meme a couple of years ago and I kept it because this is our mentality at all times. We always have each other covered. We see the five elements of well-being in our friendship Laytin has filled my life with positive emotions like my humor for example most of it comes from him. Laytin means a lot to me and our decade long friendship is an achievement in itself.
This is a picture of Laytin and I at my high school graduation. His was earlier in the morning and I promised him to show up if he came to mine. I was unable to make it to his graduation due to work taking longer than expected and 2 flat tires. I felt so bad, but even though I didn't hold my end up guess who was sitting there in the front row at my graduation. Yep He Was! I love Laytin and his family they are like my own and him, my brother. I'm grateful to have a friend as great as he is.
I chose to send a message to a friend I haven't talk to since May. He is one of my best friends since the 4th grade and though we don't talk much he is always there for me when I need him as well as me for him. His name is Laytin and I couldn't imagine my life without meeting him.
Although these character strengths may not be seen as the greatest in the list they still are the traits that make up who I am. However, they are all positive traits emotionally, and they allow me to engage people and have positive relationships with my friends as well as providing a deeper meaning to me. Every joke, every trusting friend, and every conquered obstacle is an achievement in its own. This picture is only here for your understanding, because I understand it in my heart.
1. Humor. Humor is something I apply haphazardly in life, and it will not change. I enjoy making people laugh and feel better. Making people feel better makes me feel better so I plan to never change myself and always strive to get laughs.
