The Mission, spawning from the break-up of Sisters of Mercy, Wayne Hussey formed this band to critical success as a Gothic Rock band in 1986. It broke up two times and is still playing today and looking to reunite the original band members.

Formed in 1976 and playing their first gig as a front-band for the recently formed Sex Pistols, they would go on to be one of the foundation to Goth Rock and were the first to release a single and tour the US as a Punk-rock band. They are a Canadian group that is widely credited with founding the Electro Industrial form or dark and heavy music and their antics have only gotten more, shall we say, provocative. Southern Death Cult is credited with giving it's lead singer and part of it's name to the platinum award winning The Cult (which is considered a rock band as opposed to Goth). Ian Astbury disbanded the group in 1983 and still plays today as one of the longest serving members of the Cult.
