A tribute to old friends who are hopefully away somewhere being loved and making someone small very happy...
The first of the Puppy Surprises to be added to the critters, he was a fighter pilot but somehow his bomber hat and scarf disappeared after a very short time, never to be found again
Scratcher - part of the mini animal trio who accompanied me to pre-school most days
Monwa - the black bear who was too cute to be ignored in a gift shop in Canada
Scamp the cheeky teddy who was meticulously sewn together by yours truly
little Tigger, who is still hanging about
Jessica, who was undoutedbly the favourite of them all, hand-made with love by Mum, and who had a wardrobe complete with a pink tutu
Dibbles the screaming monkey who was always good for making people jump when he sneaked up and launched himself into their room, screaming as he flew through the air
Twinkles the Marionette who used to make me cry with laughter in the hands of my Sister who could somehow get him to walk and dance much better than I could
Creamy, Smokey and Smudge who had no Mum but were promptly adopted by Freckles
Patches and Snowy with Mum, Freckles (because I was original with names)
a very late addition to the family, who joined while I was still in the elephant obsession years
Another amphibious friend of the cabbage patch kids
Chuckie of The Rug-Rats fame. He regularly hung out with Tahlee and Lilian with Mr Frog.
Tahlee and Lilian, who for years wrote mail to my best friend's cabbage patch kid Tilly. They had a series of ever more extravagent shoe box homes and used to often invite Mr Frog over for tea
My sister's home-made golly-wog pom pom toy who hung about for years without any limbs until they were finally attached to him!
Puggles! Another of the hand-me-downs that made it from my sister's toy box to my own
