Cell Model - Printable Pattern For A 3-D Free-Standing Paper Cell Model

Product details
This is a printable template for a model plant or animal cell that students cut out and construct from regular copy paper. The completed model is a free-standing 3" x 3" cell with all the cell organelles inside like a tiny diorama!
The completed cell is sturdy enough to hold up a 350 page hardback book. (I tested it.) You can stack these to form a fabulous display of absolutely unique student work. No two cells will be exactly the same.
The one-of-kind constructed model requires only the template copies, colored pencils or crayons, liquid glue and scissors. It will make a great authentic assessment of student learning because the student is responsible for drawing and creating the cell parts that go inside (with the exception of the nucleus, nucleolus, and endoplasmic reticulum, which are preprinted in the model). Because the cell parts are up to you to assign, you can use this model for either a plant cell or an animal cell.
If you download the FREE Preview, you will be able to see every page of the product, and read all of the instructions before making a decision about purchasing the template. The model has been carefully designed and repeatedly tested to ensure that the pieces fit properly together. To my knowledge, this is the first and only commercially available 3-D paper cell model. Please examine the free preview before purchase, so that you will have a thorough understanding of the process and the finished product.
Time: Minimum 3 hours – Much of which could be done as homework.
Prep: making copies, collecting supplies
