Guillermo Ochoa - Who would've thought that Mexican keeper Guilermo Ochoa is a free agent? After 3 seasons with Ajaccio, offers from other clubs were limited, but he will have lots including some from Premier League teams. The 28 year olds agility and reflexes were shown firstly in the Brazil game where he made probably the save of the tournament to deny Neymar giving Brazil the lead. Another outstanding performance against Netherlands, saving Stefan de Vrij's 4 yard shot.
Tim Howard - A fantastic World Cup for USA and Everton keeper, Tim Howard. Setting a World Cup record of the most saves in an individual game against Belgium, with the best save being the ninth when Kevin Mirallas went through on a one on one chance with an outstretched left leg by Howard which pushed the ball away to safety. He also had an outstanding performance against Portugal although he conceded 2.
Vincent Enyeama - Enyeama brought his superb form for Lille with him for Nigeria. He continued his form in Nigeria's first game against Iran where they dominated but Enyeama had to be on alert, but Enyeama had enough concentration to tip away Reza Ghoochanneljhad's header. His best save of the tournament was in the last 16 where Nigeria faced France. A thunderous Paul Pogba volley was fantastically pushed away by Nigeria's number 1.
Manuel Neuer - Cristiano Ronaldo got an early glimpse that Manuel Neuer is one of the best keepers if not the best keeper in the world. A great free kick but Neuer pushed the Portuguese's free-kick round the post. Neuer hasn't really been given the chance to show his ability for the Germans in this World Cup as he hasn't really been put up to the test due to a solid back 4.
ais M'Bohli - The Algerian shot stopper did not arrive in Brazil with a big reputation and neither did the Algerian team. Like many of his team mates, he has earned a lot of respect from many people. His performance against Germany would take the crown for his best performance, as he pulled off some spectacular saves including a close range stop from World Class forward Thomas Muller. But that wasn't the best, a diving, fingertip save to push Phillip Lahm's drive around the post.
Thibaut Courtois - The Belgium defence must feel a lot more comfortable knowing they have one of the world best keepers behind them. Courtois showed his talent by denying Clint Dempsey from 5 yards out after a smart free kick by USA that left the Belgium defence relying on the Chelsea keeper. However, his best save of the World Cup was denying Lionel Messi when the Argentine burst through one on one and tried to dink the ball over Courtois but the Belgian made himself big.
David Ospina - Colombia entertained everyone with their attacking style of football, but on the rare occasion when the defence fell to sleep, Ospina proved to be a solid keeper. David Ospina's standout performance was against Uruguay in the second half where he made 4 crucial stops, including an excellent save to deny Maxi Pereria. In the end it took a scrappy goal and a world class free kick to beat the Colombian shot stopper.
