Masters of Prefixes, Suffixes and Root Words

WORD PARTS LESSON~ Students form groups of three or four. Each group gets a disposable plate with three sections. The sections are labeled “prefix,” “suffix,” and “root word.” Finally, groups are given a bag of big words. They use scissors to cut the words into parts, and then drop each part into its respective section on the plate. Great idea!
