Liked on InstaGram: We often get asked about camping near ski resorts as many of the resorts on our pass don't allow camping. The beauty of most resorts, like Telluride pictured in the background here, is that they are surrounded by BLM or other public lands which allow feee dispersed camping. - Many of these roads would deter most non 4WD vans, but the trusty bus with its all terrain tires and engine weight in the back has us powering into the backcountry undeterred.
Snow tracks made from a Volkswagen van. It's also a DJ bus with automatic pop-top to address public events.

Chuckanut Drive. My favorite drive of all time. This place moves me deeply every time I go there. There's just something magical about it. There are no photographs that can really capture all the dynamic elements but this painting gives you an inkling. I've always wanted to live here. It is a scenic and curvy road that winds along the western side of the Chuckanut and Blanchard Mountains and provides many sweeping views of the San Juan Islands and Samish Bay. Miss it very much.

If you would like to go for a day trip that you will never forget, try this one. From Woodland, Washington (I-5 exit 21), drive east on 503. You will pass by the three dams on the North Fork Lewis river. First is Merwin. There is a nice park here if you want to take a little rest stop and view Lake Merwin. Driving on up the highway you will have access to beautiful view points suitable for taking pictures or just looking out at the amazing scenery. The next reservoir is Yale. Keep on driving ...
