The moment thousands of young people have waited months for has finally arrived. This weekend the Parliament building in Strasbourg will host the European Youth Event 2014 (EYE 2014), a unique opportunity for the next generation to generate ideas, discuss opinions and set the agenda for tomorrow’s Europe! Topic presentation by AFCO chair Egzon Gashi who gave a short and precise speech and furthermore invited everyone to vote in the upcoming European Parliament elections. He also urged all delegates, even the ones not interested in the topic or disagreeing with the AFCO resolution to participate in the discussion.
European Youth Event 2014 (EYE) to table ideas for a better Europe on 9-11 May | News | European Parliament
"Ideas for a better Europe" will be pooled by around five thousand young Europeans at a three-day European Youth Event (EYE) at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, on 9-11 May. Over 200 debates and workshops will enable 16-30 year-olds to air policy issues close to their hearts. Over half of Europe’s young people feel excluded from its economic and social life, says a recent Eurobarometer poll.

The European Youth Parliament is one of the largest platforms for political debate, intercultural encounters, European civic education and the exchange of ideas for young people in Europe
