The manifesto of the Bauhaus Movement is what my group mate and I tried to reproduce on the background for the photoshoot in order to have a visual reference to such time period.

This week in Art Speak, we look at one of the most influential movements of the 20th century. It sought to unite art, design and industry, provide a universal aesthetic, and give good design to everyone: Bauhaus.

History of the Bauhaus design movement. I love the angles of this infographic. There is so much movement, its a refreshing change from other infographics

The Bauhaus school and style is still relevant to design today, not just because of its history, but because of its philosophy that the marriage of form and function is still the back bone of taste and sophistication.

Why Bauhaus is Still Relevant

i love all the lines and shapes happening in this poster. the way how they are all overlapping and intersecting are the things that inspire me whenever i think about design. i also like the minimal but yet busy feel of this too.

In this poster the color scheme and shapes are representative of Bauhaus and create an architectural design within it. The lines and movement help one to see the underlying image and creates a good visual hierarchy.
