Seasonal or Holiday Table Centerpiece DIY
It’s hard to believe that’s almost September! Fall is my favorite season and I’ve been anxiously counting down the days until fall since late July and our 90+ degree temperatures.…
Thanksgiving Tablesetting
I feel like the table for your Thanksgiving meal should be elegant and beautifully decorated with colors of fall. This is the meal where you pull out your finest dishes and glassware. Even if you
Thanksgiving Tablescape: Bittersweet Traditions
“I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.” Psalms 9:1 Hello sweet friends and welcome to Everyday Living! As most of you know, ta…
Yellow & Gray Harvest Themed Thanksgiving Tablescape
The tablescape I created for Thanksgiving this year was inspired by a recent ad by Pier 1 Imports (yes, again!) which included shades of ocher, gray and white. I did my own interpretation using more of a mustard yellow colour but I think the vibe is the same. I'll let you be the judge after you've seen my tablescape... ...and the Pier 1 ad that inspired me. I went with a harvest theme and incorporated wheat into the design. The place settings started with a round woven placemat, a white…
Thanksgiving Tablescape with Cylinder Vase Centerpiece
Although Thanksgiving is behind us here in Canada (Oct 9th this year), I've teamed up with a group of talented bloggers to share some tablescape ideas for this special holiday which is coming up at the end of November in the States. This Thanksgiving tablescape Blog Hop is hosted by Chloe at Celebrate & Decorate and no doubt, the Thanksgiving tablescapes linked below will provide inspiration for any fall dinner you may be planning. And a fall dinner party is exactly what I set this…
Thanksgiving Tablescape for a Small Gathering
Last weekend, we celebrated Thanksgiving here in Canada. Although this special holiday looked different this year because of recommendations by our provincial health officer to keep our guest list small, I still wanted to set a pretty table and mark the occasion in style. I realize we are all going through trying times right now, but there is always something to be thankful for. Whether it is for a small gathering or even just for yourself, bringing out your special dishes and creating a…
Pumpkin Patch Thanksgiving Tablescape
I can't believe that it will be Thanksgiving weekend in less than 2 weeks! I know Thanksgiving is early this year but still, the time has flown by. With that in mind, I've put together a fun pumpkin patch themed tablescape that would work well for a Thanksgiving weekend luncheon. My inspiration for this tablescape came from these pumpkin soup tureens I've had for many years. I decided to pair the orange with gray since I wanted to use these gray/white buffalo check napkins and table runner…

Rustic Copper Thanksgiving Tablescape
Thanksgiving is almost upon us here in Canada. This year, Thanksgiving falls on October 8 which is the earliest it can ever be (always the 2nd Monday of Oct). And currently, it is also the most unseasonably cool fall we've had in quite a while. With that in mind, I decided to go with more muted tones but with a warm rustic vibe when designing my Thanksgiving tablescape. I'm calling it a Rustic Copper Thanksgiving Tablescape. My inspiration began with these copper-coloured floral napkin rings…

Dining Delight
My tiered tray is all decked out for Easter! I had a lot of fun styling it for the occasion and thought I'd show you some of the details. My inspiration to decorate the tray with pastels and gingham began with these cute wooden figures I found at Red Apple Stores last year. The top tier holds the other two figures as well as some faux potted tulips, blossoms and two small Easter egg wreaths. This little duckling was nestled into a small white bowl to elevate him a bit. I placed a few pastel…
