The first multi-neck guitars were more than likely harp guitars. These instruments sometimes had an additional neck used to attach the bass strings, harp or sympathetic string and the tuning pegs. The Archangel is a unique minimalist instrument utilizing the airfoil-shaped neck cross-section. This one has frets, but that's about it. There is only cocobolo rosewood for the body and curly maple for the fretboard and bridge, tensioned with steinberger gearless tuners. A custom-designed pickup from Pete Biltoft at Vintage Vibe pickups is hidden under the bridge plate. It's hardwired through a permanent tone control for a mellow and jazzy tone.
