I shot this in the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge, just outside of Cheney, Wa. about 20 miles from Spokane. Fortunately the ice was thick enough to kneel on for the shot. Canon 17-40 f4L 17mm f18. Still waiting for my split ND filter so I blended two exposures about 1 stop apart.
