The lived-documentary HORN addresses the issue of rhino poaching by investigating the core social factors that pave the way to wildlife crime in South Africa. The film does so by following a group of rhino monitor trainees as they receive training and are deployed for their first experience in the field.

#jointheherd Who will do so with me and many others around the globe? Go to: www.yearoftheelephant.com. Elephants are under tremendous threat in Africa with dozens being killed every day for nothing more than greed and ivory. Not only is their senseless killing a tremendous loss for humankind, but the poaching of these animals is financing war, conflict and terrorism. It is a problem that effects us all - no matter where we are in the world Crime In South Africa, Rhino Poaching, Being In The World, My Name Is, Greed, Documentaries, Finance, Wildlife, African

Some great news! Bail was denied for four members of the Ras syndicate group. The rest will hear next week when their cases are presented. Although the public petition was not accepted as evidence, it was mentioned in court today that the court is mindful of the fact that the public has spoken out strongly as well. So, well done too all who signed the petition. It does make a difference! Crime In South Africa, Rhino Poaching, Investigations, Mindful, Horn, Documentaries, Rest, Public, Cases
