This 19th century cartoon depicts The Ethiopian Emperor Tewodros II and the british redcoats who came to ethiopia to free the british officials imprisoned by the king.After losing the battle the king shot himself by the same pistol given to him as a gift by Queen Victoria rather than fall in the hands of the british.
