(closed) Wall / Tripod Mount

Especially when you make an outdoor project there is a need for mounting methods because it should hang on a wall, a tree or something similar. Therefore the INcase ONE has a prepared hole for a 1/4 inch thread insert which is a common size for tripods and wall mountings. The hole was designed in a way that it will not reach directly into the case so it is still weather proof. We did not put the thread in the center because with this constellation as you see on the picture it is easier to…

(closed)Modularity

No project has the same size as another one. Sometimes it is just a Pi and a cooler - sometimes though it is a SSD and a HUB and a sound card and an amplifier and a speaker and much more. Therefore a good case has to grow and shrink with your projects and the INcase ONE does exactly that. As we mentioned in the topic dimensions the outer line is 95x95mm but the length is variable with a minimal 42mm (front + thin back) and no limitation upwards. Let's take a look at the modules in detail to…

(closed) Sealing Concept

Of course you can take a black box with no holes and a cable gland and use it as a weatherproof case but there are some topics which could give you headache regarding just the sealing without talking about the fixing of the components - that topic we will discuss later. So questions come up like: How to use audio devices? How to prevent condensation inside the case? How to reopen the case? (when glued together to make it waterproof) How to regulate temperature? How to install a camera?

How big should a flexible case be? The question is harder to answer than it seems at the first sight. Of course you want to make it big enough for all kind of components because today you don't know what you want to insert tomorrow but at the same time it should not be bulky, or it shouldn't be bigger than your actual desktop PC to make sense. While being able to grow in length to (theoretically) infinite we decided to make the INcase ONE 95mm high and broad. (outer dimensions) This gives us…
